Senior Staff Geologist responsible for quality control of field reserves, development planning and appraisal by Carigali and all operating companies in eastern and western Malayia and international ventures. Responsible for development of local G&G staff and their acquisition of new technology. Also working on the assessment and acquisition of new international ventures by Petronas Carigali.

Al Furat Petroleum Company, Damascus
Section Head of Production Geology in one of the business units within AFPC, responsible for all appraisal and development geological activities in 14 producing fields. Also participating in and co-ordinating Integrated Petroleum Engineering Studies, including the use of 3D seismic, resulting in the production of Field Development Plans. Initiated further appraisal of two closed-in fields, resulting in significant new production from additional blocks and reservoirs. Initiated the first campaign of horizontal drilling in AFPC. Responsible for development of national staff geologists.

NAM, The Netherlands
Section Head of Production Geology/Geophysics in the Oil Business Unit, carrying out Integrated Studies and generating Field Development Plans for the Schoonebeek heavy oilfield (Low Pressure Steam Flooding) and for the West Netherlands oilfields. In addition, also acted the temporary Geology Section Head for the Groningen Gas Business Unit and involved in the equity determination in that field.

Section Head of Production Geology in the Global Studies Team undertaking Integrated Petroleum Engineering studies on fields in Abu Dhabi, Colombia, Gabon, Iraq, New Zealand, Nigeria, Sarawak and the UK sector of the North Sea.

Team Leader in the Venezuelan Study Team carrying out Integrated Field studies in mixed Venezuelan/Shell teams working on fields (Ceuta, Quirequire) in Lake Maracaibo and eastern Venezuela.

Head of Geology and Petrophysics, carrying out all exploration activities in SE Turkey, the Adana Basin and Thrace, in addition to handling all production geological and petrophysical work on the 19 producing fields in complex overthrusts. Discovered three small fields in overthrusts and maintained production levels.

Production Geologist undertaking all geological activities in all producing fields in Northern and Central Oman and also involved in Southern Oman appraisal. Proved up major field extensions in Lekhwair and Fahud fields. Identified an additional one billion barrels STOIIP in Fahud in a unit Natih B), previously not recognised as reservoir.

Project Geologist, responsible for geological work (appraisal, reservoir geology, equity studies, development planning) on the Statfjord, Murchison, Dunlin, Thistle and Hutton fields.

Senior Geologist in the Exploration Department working on exploration plays in the UK and Norwegian sectors of the North Sea north of 56 degrees, particularly the Chalk prospects in Norwegian waters.

Abu Dhabi Petroleum Co. Abu Dhabi
Worked in the Exploration Department, based in Abu Dhabi initially as an Operations Geologist. From September 1970 worked as an Appraisal Geologist responsible for all geological activities in the Bu Hasa and Huwaila fields, Abu Dhabi and also for the Dukhan field in Qatar which was also part of the Iraq Petroleum Group. Also responsible for regional mapping and involved in the regional stratigraphic studies on the Gulf area, particularly the Shuaiba Formation.
