Prior to this I headed a team seconded to BP to write the BP ISRS Drilling Procedures
I have worked as Onshore Manager for BP Magnus Platform and as Snr. Toolpusher offshore on the same unit, conforming with all operating company standing orders and statutory instructions as laid down for offshore installations by legislation currently in force.
Experience has been gained in 'Top Drive Drilling Systems' and further experience has been with 'Sub Sea Tensioning Systems'. I was also a part of the hook up team on the (Conoco) TLP. Compartment Supervisor responsible for the running and tensioning of mooring legs. I continued to work on the platform as Snr. Toolpusher and Relief Superintendent for the first two years of the drilling programme.

Toolpusher in the Morecombe Bay Gas Field, working on
a cantilever jack
up rig, with slant derrick. Working on this unit has given me
solid grounding in
shallow deviated drilling procedures.

Driller: (six years) on the Union Heather 'A'
Platform, followed by
three and a half years as Toolpusher.
During this period I worked in the Norwegian sector on semi-submersible drilling units, West Venture and West Vanguard. Both these rigs had crown type compensators. Being employed on semi-submersible vessels gave me useful experience working on compensated drilling units

a crew comprised of British assistant drillers and Indian
labour, within the
United Arab Emirates.

through to Derrickman,
then Assistant Driller working on the Beryl 'A' platform.
During this employment
I also worked on land rigs in Lybia as both Assistant Driller
and Driller, using
local labour forces.
