& gas pipelines and facilities for Qatar. Project
activities include:-
- Khuff Gas Distribution Network replacement - 160 km of
large diameter gas
line including, pressure let-down stations, SCADA, telemetry,
line break valves,
CP and upgrade of well-head treatment plants. Supervising FEED
and detailed
design phases of Project.
- Dukhan Field - Replacement of 400,000 BPD main oil
transmission network. c.
100 km of 24" line, ESD, surge relief, leak detection, CP
and telemetry
systems. Supervising detailed design.
- 3-Phase Separation Upgrade Project. Responsible for FEED
and detailed design
phases for pipeline and plant piping.
- Asset Management. Involved in the development of an in-
house asset integrity
monitoring capability.
- Design review role for various subsea pipeline activities

- Reeled Pipeline Installation. lnter4ield flowlines and

Texaco, Maersk & BP developments.
- Pipeline Mechanics. In-house evaluation of pipeline
response under combined
stress and external pressure during deep water installation.
Arrest of
propagating buckles and reeling mechanics were considered.
- Oman - India Pipeline. Feasibility study and concept
development for hybrid
lay-vessel configuration, designed to maximise both firing-line
and tensioning
capacity at steep pipeline departure angles.

- Statoil - Europipe Development. Preliminary design phase
responsibility for
hydraulic calculation, wall thickness and material selection
and installation
analysis. Landfall, pipe-lay, tie-in and trenching philosophies
were developed
for this 600km, 40" gas line.
- ZADCO - Upper Zakum Field. Carried out FEED for subsea
flowlines including
hydraulic and stability analyses mechanical anchor and riser
clamp designs.
- NOGAT - Major gas transmission line. Performed design
integrity analysis for
this large diameter offshore line, including shore pull,
installation and
pre-commissioning.
