Section head of off-sites/utilities including propane, NGL Spheres, condensate, Sulphur storage and responsible for 16"- 10" pipelines approx. l3Okms. Pigging duties, and usual pre- commissioning, /commissioning duties, dry out of Propane/NGL Spheres to-500C and inerting to 0.5% 02. Power Co-generation plant supplying 60+mw. 11kv to grid and approx 250 T/PHR. 42B steam at 4000c.

MARCH 1991 TO 3ULY 1994- P.D.O.. OMAN (SHELL)
Employed as a Commissioning Engineer on vanous process plants, namely a 475 Bar Sour Gas injection plant, Polymer injection plant, Gas/Oil separation plants, water treatments activated charcoal filtration T.D.C. 3000 Honeywell and hands on all rotating equipment, overseeing 500 beam pump units Mothballing and demothballing of various facilities. Running of R.O. plant.
MARCH 1989 TO MARCH 1991- B.P. WYTCH FARM. DORSET. U.K.
Employed as Commissioning Engineer, hands on for the G.O.S.P. producing 70,000 bbls/day Plus Propane, Butane exporting, and water treatment injection. Technical writing of detailed procedures for start up of the whole facility. All commissioning duties performed with construction. Completed my contract as Systems Co-ordinator for numing/starting gas plant facilities, and exporting Sales gas, propane and Butane.
APRIL 1988 TO MARCH 1989- O.T.S. SYRIA (AL-FARAT SHELL)
Employed as Shift Supervisor on G.O.S.P. and desaker plant, approx. 60,000 bbls/day produced, all operational duties including well testing/dynametering/echometering/pruett reading and a water injection facility. 6 Internal combustion engines on main oil pumps, and the same for power generator plant. Twenty wells producing and daily updating of computer.
APRIL 1987 TO MARCH 1988- LUMMUS CREST KADUNA NIGERIA
Employed as Commisssioning Engineer on a Alkyl Benzene plant. Licensed by U.O.P. to start up H.D.S. Pacol, Molex, detergent Alkylate Units for the Nigerian National Petroleum Company. Punching, line blowing, steam targeting, washing, leak testing and start up of all units. Products used, Benzene, Paraffin, Kerosene, Hydrogen,Hydrofluric Acid as a catalyst, Caustic. Equipment used Reactors, Compressors, Heaters, Rotary valve, and other associated machinery columns. Critical specifications on the Acid plant, and virtually rebuilt the foresaid plant, close working D.S.D. German construction company supervising 30 men.
MARCH 1986 TO MARCH 1987- FOSTER WHEELER ENERGY SUI PAKISTAN
Joined as Operations Engineer, at Sui Gas Compression and Power plant, and seconded to Commissioning. We commissioned 6 Frame 3 AEG KANIS G.T.s Driving Mannesman/Demag compressors, capable of producing 500mmscf/day at 82 Bar discharge. Chemical cleaning and oil flushing of the Seal oil and Lube oil systems to a 25 micron spec. The 4 Power pack 6.6kv Ansaldo generators, driven by Frame 1 Turbotecica G.T.s were also in the scope of work. A pressure swing absorber provided N2. the plant was controlled by Cooper Bessamer Flexitrend 1000s and included programming duties.
OCTOBER 1977 TO APRIL 1985- SIRTE OIL CO. LIBYA (ESSO)
Joined Esso as a Senior operator on G.O.S.P and Gas plant installations. Promoted in April 1978 to Shift Supervisor. The G.O.S.P produced 70,000 bbls/day the gas plant 8Ornnsc~day and 5,000 bbls/day condensate. This was all exported to the main terrninal, at Brega. Three sources of gas were treated and compressed by Frame 3 and 5 G.E. G.T.s Driving Nouvo Pignone compressors (2). Within the operation was a propane cooling system working in tandem with Glycol injection for de-hydration. Propane was manuflicted in the plant, and Chicargo comps provided an air system. An lonics unit produced 50,000 ltrs of fresh water. Pig and Sphere launching was necessary and custody of 97km of pipeline. Promoted to training Supervisor in February 1982 and promoted to production Co-ordinator in 1983, Superintendent in 1984.
APRIL 1977 TO OCTOBER 1977- WELLTAADE 'NT. CONTRACTED TO ESSO LIBYA OCCIDENTAL 103A
Employed as Senior operator at Brega Gas Plant. Treating drying and fractionation flicility H25 removal by Catacarb/CausticlWater Washing before drying and fractionation of Methane, Ethane, Butane. these provided the cryogenics for M.C.R. Moved to off-sites to Co-ordinate the construction of a new 30 inch receiver and associated pipework. After commissioning of this system I was signed over by the client, I also completed 6 weeks on Occidentals gas Plant at concession 103A prior to joining Esso.
APRIL 1974 TO APRIL 1977- ROHM HAAS LTh CLEVELAND U.K
Employed as panel/outside operator on a methacrylates plant and cyanide plant. Duties were the strict safety regulations of running such processes along with normal operations. Products in use for the process, Cyanide, Methanol, Ethanol, Ammonia, Sulphuric acid, Caustic, and Acetone. Equipment for the process included Acid Strippers, reactors, Crackers, Coolers, pumps. Strict Effluent control was in place.
NOVEMBER 1970 TO FEBRUARY 1973- CONOCO OIL REFINERY LINCOLNSIIIRE U.K.
Started as an operator on a Coke Calciner unit. This was a self contained unit owmg to production of our own steam generation plant providing 130,000 lbs/hr from (2) 6OOpsi steam waste heat boilers to drive the F.D. and I.D. fins for control of the Rotary Kilns. Production was 99% pure Carbon. During my 2 years I was panel trained on the foresaid plant before moving to Tank flirm duties and onto Black oils. Crude Crackers/Reformers.
