Qatargas Upstream Development Project - Project Engineering QA Manager
Based at Tokyo Engineering Centre, Chiba, responsible for technical design review of specifications and procedures for a 970 mmscfd gas/liquids receiving, process, storage and marine loading facility - value $400m. Responsible for negotiations and technical acceptance with Qatargas and Total the managing contractor, major vendors and subcontractors.
Subsequently based in Qatar during construction as Engineering and Quality Manager with responsibility for all construction, engineering, quality functions, including co-ordination of technical queries. Responsible for award and contract management of local construction contracts.

Managed and operated the inspection department, developed and implemented medium and long term inspection and maintenance strategies for all capital assets including all pipelines, offshore structures and process plant. Planned, co-ordinated and project managed all
onshore/offshore shutdown related activities.
Project Manager for all pipeline and structural maintenance contracts, including several subsea ROV surveys, Corroscan, intelligent pig surveys using several different pig types including British Gas, Kopp, ultrasonics and magnetic flux leakage and subsea pipeline repairs.
