QC Inspector

Employed as a QC inspector on the ADCO Central Oil Degassing Station and five Remote Oil Degassing Stations Project, located at the Bab Oil Field, Habshan, UAE. My duties as QC Inspector included welding and piping inspection, Radiographic interpretation, conducting welding procedure/welder qualification and NDT co-ordination. Activities related to project included sub-contractor scope of works at five Remote Degassing Stations, ensuring complete adherence to procedures and codes. As project progressed into hydrotest stage, I became involved and responsible for punching and compiling mechanical certification for inclusion into test packs.

Quality Control Supervisor

Supervising Quality Control functions, conducting Welding inspections, interpreting radiographs and preparing QC documentation.

Engaged in the fabrication of pressure vessels, verticals and horizontal tanks including associated pipework and heavy structural steel for the Petro-chemical industry. Involved in site inspection of upgrading and refurbishment refinery projects. Overseeing the installation of Pressure Vessels and site built storage tanks including the inspection of structural steel. Co-ordinating NDT activities, i.e. Radiography and MPI - Dye Penetrant Examinations. Other duties included visits to sub-contractors premises for inspection and reviewing documentation of completed fabrication prior to clients review and acceptance. Clients included Bechtel, Samarec, AGOC Chyoda Petrostar and JORC. Codes and standards used ASME VIII, API 650, ANSI, AWS Dl.l, Welding processes used S.M.A.W., G.M.A.W. and G.T.A.W.

Quality Control Inspector

Co-ordination of quality control functions, interpreting radiographs, conducting welding inspections and preparing associated documentation.

Engaged in fabrication of a residfiner high pressure, high temperature process plant, involving various inspection functions including Front and Back Welding inspection. Conducting welder approval tests and co- ordinating NDT inspection i.e. radiography and MPI/Dye penetrant examinations. The process plant was fabricated from Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Inconel and Chrome Moly material in thicknesses ranging from lOmm to 70mm. Codes and standards used ASME VIII, ANSI and ESSO specifications. Welding processes used Manual, Metal Arc and TIG.

Inspection of crystallizer vessel, fabricated on site. Responsible for all inspection activities and documentation including NDT co- ordination, i.e. radiography, MPI examination and radiographic interpretation and conducting welder approval tests. The vessel was fabricated from carbon steel in thicknesses ranging from 20mm to 30mm. Code specification used was ASME VIII and Welding process was S.M.A.W.
