Preparing and implementing safety management plan for this modest sized oil producing company, which has involved the following:

• Preparation of a safety management status report.
• Establishment of revised safety objectives.

• Negotiated and obtained management support and financing for the plan.
• Trained safety personnel, site management and engineers in acceptance of safety responsibility and hazard identification.

Carried out the following a safety audit on an Argentinean oil field near Mendoza with the following scope of work:

Identified the hazards and quantified the risks of oil production facilities including:

• Process separation, storage and water injection systems.
• Batteries for separations, storage and power oil systems.
• Electrical distribution system.
• Pipeline, collection pits and waste disposal facilities.

Recommended cost effective options for change to meet acceptable industry standards of operation on above items. Procedure review of the following inspection or operation procedures:

• Contract drilling.
• Tanks, pipelines and flowlines.
• Hazardous area classification.
• Permit to work system.
• Automatic shutdown/diversion of product.
• Safety relief valves to set standards for inspection, maintenance and calibration appropriate to SRV duty.
• Gas venting.
• Revision of Argentinean legislation in order to ensure compliance.

Shutdown of major plant and reconstruction in projects of up to 50,000 man-hours on sites in La Corufia and Tarragona.
